Before we more further, let look at what ifa teaches us about (newly born baby) on his way to the earth. Which state that;

Oni koko wen

Oni ko ko wen

Adifa fun omo tuntun

Nigbati o n bo lati ikole orun bo wa si ikole aiye

It made divination for an infant (omo tuntun), on the day from heaven to earth, he asked to make ebo for good careering and good immunization. He ask to make two bowl of water as part of the materials for ebo, on his way to reach earth, the Babalawo had told him to push the water forward, follow by blood and other  thing. He did as they told him. Then he arrived safely, without any too much suffering. The first thing for him to do, is to shout crying that he arrived, then everybody. Will be looking forward to care for him. Since then till today, through out the world, the first foot of infant on the earth will required a lot of supporting and care ness. It is through that, the use of living myth, that children begin to internalize the principles of ifa, which are believed to guide each person towards enlightenment. Ifa scripture clearly states that what we are is built upon the shoulder of those who have come before us. Orunmila makes is to understand how important our child is to us, we have to satisfying them in all the way and teach them the normal way to pass because they are the future of tomorrow, and whichever we layed for them now.

The word esentaye means stepping into the world in both naming ceremony and the time to determine the destiny of the reincarnated soul. We learn that all those who die return to the earth. Everyone passes through the cycle of birth, life and death.
